Girls Night Out

With my mom. We hung out at the Central Plaza. We dined at California Pizza Kitchen, shopped at Miry, watch "New In Town" starring Renee Zellwegger and Harry Conick Jr. @ the Regal Cinema, shopped around Borders Bookstore, and got decaf moondoggie's (chocolate/macadamia nut/espresso), hot chocolate, and a "french kiss" crepe. The crepe was awesome! Had chocolate sauce on it, powdered sugar, and chantiliy cream. Yum!!! Pictures soon.

Me and my dad. Peace to the inside! My dad got the peace sign right, but failed on the "eyes open" attempt. I am wearing my striped gloves. Look at the dude's faces in front of us! haha. Is that Travi on the left? jkjk

My me and my mom waiting in the queue for Midway Mania! Yay!!! We're all bundled up, it was cold!

Leaving on a jet plane...

Well, my dad, grandparents, and Aunt Sue are anyways. Its 410am and they just pulled out of the driveway. I haven't been asleep since I woke up this morning for church. I saw them off and my brother is in tow (to drive the car home). I miss them already. Right now it's just me and my mom, and our 3 doggies. Soon it will be me and my mom and brother, and then he will be leaving for a couple of nights. I am used to a house FULL of family and now it's empty...sad. 10 days is waaaay to long. I hate not having all of my family around ALL of the time. Needy? Yes. Care? I don't even I just love them all so much. And I am so glad my 92 year old grandma and 91 year old grandpa are able to fly to Seattle with their youngest daughter and oldest son, in order to visit their youngest son/daughter-in-law /granddaughter. Yay gparents! <333
My mom and I will have lots of fun having 11 girl nights in a row while everyone is away on holiday. =)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was my daddy's birthday. We were supposed to go cash in his birthday gift card at Disneyland tonight but my mom ended up in urgent care. She's all better now, but my dad couldn't go to Dland and now his gift card chances are expired. (I think I will give him my gift card). I felt bad that we couldn't go to Disneyland like planned so I baked him a cake. Chocolate 2 tier with chocolate frosting. ALL of it made from scratch. Yum!

I went to Mexican Kitchen for dinner with my aunt, grandparents, brother, and grandparents friends Lee and Nancy. It was yum and fun times. Nancy's glass kept hitting a water slick on the glass-topped table and it created a little air pocket and it would hover across the table for days. It was awesome. Ha ha, the things that entertain us. Got home watched Eagle Eye with the whole family and then NUMB3RS was on! It was a new episode! Yea! Then everyone went to bed and I watched Winnie the Pooh with Kingston. Now George Lopez is on and I am blogging...maybe I will go pick out my new laptop tomorrow!

Another Good Day

Today my dad woke me up to go to lunch with him and my aunt and grandparents. We went to P.H. Woods (it was our first time), yum. They had a GIANT bronze hog out front, I loved it. And had to take a picture of it.
The sunset was awesome. It kinda sprinkled today and it was very grey and cloudy. I shoot this as best I could without a tripod and on "AUTO". They are blurry and stuff. (And don't ask what that glowy green is in the bottom left of the last 2...cuz I don't know.)

Johnny Cupcakes VS Pastry

Johnny Cupcakes

original post:

Randomly putting baked items on t-shirts and having an entire brand revolve around it is free for anyone to do. I don't own food. However, I did indeed start this brand of mine 8 years ago, having it's main focus be revolved around cupcakes and anything associated with it. In the independent t-shirt industry, I believe I was the first person to go all out with this cupcake / baking motif. I've made a tremendous amount of sacrifices and risks to make it the homegrown, family run, fun, limited business that it is, since I dropped out of high school and sold my t-shirts out of my rusty car. With my brands main focus on my customers and their experience, I think I've been doing a pretty swell job at it.Last Spring I was alerted by a customer who happened to work at a popular mall sportswear store. This customer of mine caught a glimpse of his manager’s catalog which had various items that were being released in the near future at all of their mall locations. One of the items in this companies catalog was a "Make Pastry Not War" t-shirt. Not only was it a very similar slogan, but it had the same EXACT placement, font, EVEN A CUPCAKE in the center of the t-shirt. This was no coincidence. Weeks later my inbox was flooded with furious Johnny Cupcakes customers who saw this same catalog with the 'Pastry' design in it. I could of made a big deal about it online, making everyone else aware of it. Instead, I decided not to be a cry baby and post it all over the internet, so I sought out a different route. I decided to contact my trademark attorney, who then contacted the owners of Pastry / Pastry Kicks. We got in touch with the President of a certain mall chain-store who ended up declining the order of all 'Make Pastry Not War' t-shirts.Recently I've received several e-mails from confused and upset customers of mine. Now, 2 other designs have appeared on their website. You be the judge... The thing that baffles me, is why would two girls who're famous via MTV, have to stoop so low to create such similar items, never mind brand? Maybe they're both really great girls who happened to hire some not-so-great designers? I'm not sure what the case is, but I do know that this should be brought to everyones attention.Spread the word, re-post all of this, and/or express your opinions to ALL of the contacts below:Customer service toll free Number1-800-970-0776Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM. ! Disneyland Today !

My dad and I went to Disneyland/DCA today. It was wicked fun. 87 degrees, very nice breeze, and a 1 minute wait to get on all of the rides! We hit up DCA first and rode Midway Mania twice, California Screamin',
and Soarin' Over California. We decided to skip Tower of Terror because we were hungry for lunch. We walked over to Disneyland and ate at the little cafe on Main Street. Yum! We have never eaten there before and we have always wanted to, we were pleasantly surprised. Then we went over to Space Mountain (it was closed/bummer), we rode Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters (I sooooo beat my dad). We rode the Matterhorn,
Alice in Wonderland,
and the Snow White ride. I showed my dad that when you touch the golden apple in front of the ride the witch cackles and such. We checked out the "Golden Spike/The Exact Center of the Disneyland Park" (check it)

, and the statue of Walt and Mickey. Walt has a ring on his right hand that has a hidden Mickey on it. Very cool.
Then we made our way back down Main Street and grabbed some ice cream (I got a scoop of *chocolate* with strawberry syrup in a cup, yesss). My dad found a bench by the train station that was in the shade and we hung out talking and eating our ice cream and all of the characters were hanging out! There's a crummy Sidek!ck pic of Chip and Mickey.=) Minnie, Donald, Dale, and Goofy were mingling too. All in all a good day! =)

American Idol started tonight too! Amazing! I am rooting for the chick with the pink/orange hair that sang "Baracuda".

Less than three,

Me

P.s

Did ya know that if you currently have a Disneyland annual pass you get a gift card in the amount of a Disneyland admission ticket?!?! Only on your actual birthday, for their "Celebration" promotion in 2009. Super exciting news! (Go register your birthday at www.disneyland.com). Sweet.

Team Dan and Serena!!

Man, I love Gossip Girl! Sure, it doesn't follow the books that well, but I still love it! Tonight's episode had so many twists and turns, I love me some *fictional* drama. =)
And it had 2 songs by The Faint on tonight's episode! How awesome was that? Wicked.

Bedtime now, I have to wake up bright and early for Disneyland with my dad tomorrow!

Gorgeous.

Look at my long-legged shadow! With my wonderful dog, Dr. Pepper's shadow on the right.

Today is gorgeous, sure it's a bit windy, but all of that wind makes looking upon the horizen that much better. The wind blows away all of the Woodcrest dust and debris and makes for a beautiful sunny day. One would think I would be listening to Coconut Records while hanging out in my front yard...but I am also listening to Cartel's "Honestly", Gym Class Hereo's "Clothes Off!", We The Kings "Check Yes Juliet", The Ting Tings "Shut Up and Let Me Go", HelloGoodbye's "ShimmyShimmyQuaterTurn", Metro Station's "Shake It", and even some Aly & AJ and Jonas Brother's "Love Bug". The pictures are a jumble, and not very hot, but I am too excited to sit still. I couldn't be happier right now.
